Buy a vape pen, get a free face mask?

Vape companies are offering "Buy one, Get one" deals to their customers during the Coronavirus pandemic, according this Los Angeles Times news article.

Moti Piin, sells battery-powered vape pens online. Their customers can receive two free face masks when ordering one vape pen. Smok, gives their customers the chance to earn disposable gloves and masks when purchasing their e-liquid cartridges.

These e-cigarette companies say these deals are only meant to help people during this pandemic. But, we know better. These deals are only meant to drive up sales of e-cigarettes and create a "nice charitable face" to the company.

It is not right. Vaping affects our lungs. In the article, Matthew Myers, president of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids attests to this. "It’s as if they don’t realize they’re in the business of destroying lungs... It literally takes your breath away. It makes the word ‘hypocrisy’ feel feeble.”

The Coronavirus affects our respiratory system, which is why we need to discourage use of products that weaken our lungs, such as smoking and vaping.
